But let me show you how to turn it into a fun and empowering journey where YOU are the hero of your own story.

1. Know Your 'Why'
Every warrior has an origin story—what’s yours? 

Why do you want to get healthier or lose weight? Maybe you want to feel more energetic, fit into your favorite pair of jeans, or just prove to yourself that you can do it. Write down your reasons and keep them safe (aka a journal). 

These reasons are your absolute super charged superpowers that fuel your journey.

2. Set Epic Goals
Warriors don’t ever start their journeys without a plan. Set clear, but exciting goals that make you want to jump out of bed in the morning. Instead of saying, “I want to lose weight,” declare, “I WILL lose 10 pounds by the end of summer.” 

Break these down into smaller, manageable missions and magic is in celebrating each victory with a happy dance! So, best you have your dancing shoes close by.

3. Tracking Your Progress At All Times
Keep a fun log of your daily achievements. Whether it's nailing that workout, choosing a side salad over a side portion of fries, or just feeling so damn awesome that day, write that stuff down. I kid you not, watching your progress grow is like seeing your super power stats level up, totally motivating, to the max!

4. Create a Powerful Routine
Every warrior always has a powerful routine set in place. Whether it’s training at the crack of dawn or planning meals like a pro, and an absolute yes to scheduling in self-care, create these daily schedules that sets you up for success. 

Consistency is your secret weapon against the forces of chaos, believe me, I've been there and I've done that.

By making these activities a non-negotiable part of your day, you create a strong foundation for lasting change.


5. Become Your Own Cheerleader
Who needs a sidekick when you CAN absolutely be your own biggest fan? I feel this is THE most important part of the journey, especially when days get challenging.  Celebrate every little win with self-praise, set rewards out for yourself. 

Finished a tough workout? Give yourself a high-five in the mirror. Choosing protein over pizza during the week? That’s a selfie food pic moment. Positive self-talk is like a magic wand that places everything together, it boosts your confidence and keeps you up beat and motivated.

6. Arm Yourself with Knowledge
Warriors are always learning and winning. Dive into powerful books, podcasts, or blogs about nutrition, fitness, and mental health. The more you know, the stronger and more confident you become. Use this knowledge to make smart choices and stay on top of your game.

7. Visualize Your Victory
Create a vision board packed with images and quotes that make you feel invincible. Place it where you’ll see it every day. This constant visual reminder keeps you focused and excited about your journey.  You'll witness it unfolding each day that you stick to your plan - It works with everything in my life - Give it a go! It's also incredibly fun and exciting.

8. Practice Self-Compassion
Even superheroes have bad days. When things don’t go as planned, don’t beat yourself up. Instead, practice self-compassion. Treat yourself with kindness and remember that every setback is just a setup for a totally epic comeback.

9. Celebrate Your Independence
One of the coolest things about being your own warrior is celebrating your bad-ass independence. You’re doing this for YOU, and that’s incredibly powerful. Each step you take on your own builds your resilience and makes you even stronger.

10. Find Your Warrior Tribe
While you don’t need anyone’s approval, having a community of like-minded warrior women can be powerfully inspiring. Join online groups or local clubs where you can share your journey, swap tips, and cheer each other on. Just remember, you’re the leader of your own journey! While it's essential to be self-reliant, connecting with others on a similar journey provides that additional motivation. This network serves as a source of inspiration without being a crutch.
